Faith Talks 101

So what is a Faith TalkA designated time, at least once per week (with no media) for the household to gather for prayer and the study of biblical truth together. This household gathering may include not only parents and children but also other individuals with been invited to share this time with the family.

The purpose of the talks is to restore Christian parents to their God ordained role as teachers of God's word in their children's lives. Every Christian parent should, become significant and consistent conveyor of God's word in his or her children’s lives.

In Proverbs 22:6, spiritual training takes place one step at a time in the context of everyday life. Relationship is your priority, the Bible is your handbook, and life is your classroom. Teach your children about God, the Bible, salvation, and how to live by having family night devotions.

Your family’s partner in ministry, New Beginnings Church will provide a Faith Talk tool that is clear, brief, and adaptable to a variety of circumstances. A Faith Talk outline will be simple and age appropriate. There will be a fun activity for the whole family, followed by Scripture, a few discussion questions, and a closing prayer in the outline.

Here are some of the great resources we have found and have been trying out... Please comment and post other ideas or items that have worked with your family!!
