Sun and Water

What is it about the sun and water that captures your attention? 
 
After consecutive cloudy days, does your mood change when the sun appears? 
When a friend tells you they are going on vacation to the beach, what do you envision?

 "I'm going to the lake this weekend." 

Why? 

Sun and water.

What is so attractive about the sun and the water?

The sun is light, bright, warm, soft at times, changing colors, especially early in the morning and late afternoon, as it sets. And then we see in the Word, how our God uses the light to describe himself.

 Then Jesus spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows Me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.” John 8:12


 In the same way, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Water is sparkling, reflective, refreshing, mysterious, flowing, always moving. And then we see in the Word, how our God describes living water to describe himself.

The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living waterflow from deep within him.” John 7:38

For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne will shepherd them; He will guide them to springs of living waters, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Revelation 22:1

Is it any wonder, why we are SO attracted to the sun and water?

Thank you Lord, for your creation of the sun and water, so that we can "see" YOU in them both. Amen!
